Investing in Kitchener-Conestoga Schools
July 6, 2021

The health and safety of Canadians are top priorities for the governments of Canada and Ontario. Communities across Canada are on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic, and need immediate assistance to ensure their public infrastructure is safe and reliable.

That is why governments have been taking decisive action to support families, businesses and communities, and continue to look ahead to see what more can be done in these unprecedented times.

Over $4.8 million is going towards 19 schools in Kitchener Conestoga to improve air quality, install hand washing stations, and space reconfigurations to enhance social distancing.

Students, educators and staff deserve to learn and work in safe modern learning spaces and these investments will improve the safety of schools and classrooms here in Kitchener-Conestoga.

The Government of Canada will continue to be there to protect the health of students and staff. And we will do whatever it takes, for as long as it takes, to support Canadians through the pandemic. Stay safe.
