The $500 million Emergency Support Fund for Cultural, Heritage and Sport Organizations provides temporary relief to support organizations in these sectors. This funding is intended to help maintain jobs and support businesses who have been negatively impacted by COVID-19.
There are 40 funding programs available through the Department of Heritage. These programs are broken down into specific categories and organizations are encouraged to carefully review all program guidelines prior to applying.
All Canadians have the right to practice their culture or faith without fear. Minister Blair announced the next Communities at Risk: Security Infrastructure Program (SIP) call for Applications. Eligible recipients, including community centres, educational institutions and places of worship, are invited to apply for funding until October 31, 2020.
The New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP) is a federal grants and contributions program that provides funding for projects that make a difference in the lives of seniors and in their communities.
Federal Development Ontario (FedDev) is working towards creating new opportunities in Southern Ontario by helping businesses grow and develop, which in turn promotes economic growth.
FedDev offers many funding opportunities for businesses, including those who have been impacted by COVID-19. FedDev is assisting their clients in deferring repayments, considering alternative projects and costs, accelerating reimbursements, adjusting cash flows across fiscal years, project milestones and exploring other repayment strategies to meet their needs, and extending 2019-2020 performance reporting deadlines.

The Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA) provides interest-free loans up to $40,000 for small businesses and not-for-profits. The program is continuously expanding to assist businesses who may not have been eligible before.

The Business Credit Availability Program (BCAP) allows businesses to get liquidity support they require to maintain operations and keep employees on the payroll.
Extended to June 2021.

Our government acknowledges that fish and seafood harvesters have been impacted by COVID-19 and require assistance. We have created the Fish Harvester Benefit and Grant Program to help them recover.
